Description

Fordesoft is a "studio" that is really just one guy, Josh Forde, releasing games on PS4, PS Vita, PlayStation TV, Steam, and more.

History

2000-2014: Early roots in game develompent

Fordesoft didn't officially become a company until 2015, but by then, Josh had already spent about fourteen years developing indie games in other capacities. Josh released over a dozen freeware games during middle and high school, from 2000 to 2007. In 2008, a few months after graduating from high school, Josh released "Seeds of Time Online", a browser-based, multiplayer, monster-catching RPG that grew to over 22,000 members in the short year that it was online and active, but development eventually ceased in order to focus on college. While in college, Josh also spent time working as a freelance game developer, building web games and mobile games for clients.

2015: Fordesoft is founded, and Super Blackout is released

Fordesoft was founded in January 2015, and the first release was Super Blackout, a PS Vita puzzle game, in October of that year.

2018: Emerald Shores released

Emerald Shores was released on PS4, PS Vita, and Steam in 2018. The PSN version was released in both the North American and European regions.

2019: Eternal Exodus in development

Eternal Exodus is currently in development. Confirmed platforms are PlayStation 4 and Steam (Windows + Linux + Mac), with Nintendo Switch and XBox One releases planned but unconfirmed.
